Frogman's shares its 37th anniversary with BSC
This Friday, September 7th, Birmingham-Southern's Durbin Gallery will exhibit prints from Frogman's, one of the most highly regarded and influential printmaking workshops in the world. The exhibition, titled "Imprint," contains contemporary prints from Frogman's 2018 portfolio and includes etchings, lithographs, screen prints, and mixed print media from 25 artists from around the country.
Exhibited are works created by nationally and internationally recognized artists. Some of these craftsmen are print educators, and all have participated in Frogman's print workshop as students, graduate students, assistants, faculty and/or visiting artists.
For nearly four decades, Frogman’s has promoted contemporary and experimental printmaking and fostered an enthusiastic print community. "Imprint" celebrates Frogman’s 37th anniversary with a splattering of some of its best.
The exhibition will run from September 7-27. It is free and open to the public. A reception will be held on September 7th from 6-8 in the gallery. After the opening, gallery
hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
